A new dawn...here I am literally in a new dawn, about five minutes after I had woken up to a new day. Still in my PJs haha

Lately as I go about my morning I've been noticing how the sunrise light lights up my one wall in the lounge - I knew I had to shoot here and probably will again. This week's Self Capture is simple, embracing the newness, photographed soon after the new moon in Aries. I feel I am stepping into a new version of my myself in many different ways and in this instance the relationship with my camera. I'm beginning to realise that my frustration with my new camera is mostly linked to the fact that I don't really know her yet... and so I'm actually taking the time to understand her intricate workings - this is how Mercury in retrograde can be so beautiful, providing us a moment in time to refine our systems! Through some research I've learned that this situation is common with photographers.

Here I am surrendering to the rough purity of this shoot, stepping back into play and simplicity, embracing my patience and believing in my cyclical nature. Just gonna keep taking one step at a time...and let the magic unfold. Meeting the magic in showing up, and following my creative desires...

Yes, I'm holding two crystals in the first photo, I had dreamed about rainbows the night before and remembered that these crystals can make rainbows with the sun, I was hoping the sun was ready for that but it wasn't yet haha

      Love,

      Rachel
